Ici, le genre est totalement différent du livre de Jonathan Coe ou Fouad Laroui (mes autres coups de coeur) puisqu'il s'agit d'un polar, dans une veine thriller psychologique très sombre, et sans hésiter une seule seconde, je dois dire que ce livre est vraiment un chef d'oeuvre du genre. Le polar, cela L'histoire des Lieux sombres commence dans les années 80, lorsque l'héroïne Libby Day, sept ans, voit sa mère et ses deux sœurs sont massacrées dans leur ferme.
